Iranian Neuroscience Society Fars Chapter, Shiraz
Introduction:
Pursuant to the Iranian Neuroscience Society’s board approval, the INSS Fars Chapter started its mission since Winter 2016. This provincial chapter has physically been based in the Department of Neuroscience at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and comprised a multidisciplinary consortium of brain and cognitive science experts at basic, applied, and clinical levels across academia in Fars Province. Since the chapter’s conception, the faculty members of the Neuroscience Department of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, graduate students, PhD aspirants and independent researchers in the field of brain, cognition and behavior continued to unite in INSS’ Fars Chapter towards the overall mission, vision and values of INSS. The activities included education at academic and public levels, research and networking at provincial, national and international levels, plus fostering academic, applied, and entrepreneurship opportunities in neuroscience.
